The "update" to D5100 from D5000 was an expensive step, but the right thing. The swiveling display is really great. The resolution is perfect for my needs. A impressive high ISO performance, reminds me of fine-grained film from the good old days.
The D5100 has lower noise at a higher ISO. Videos I take at dark situations come out clearer.
There are some funny effect modes and a brilliant fast lowkey and highkey option.
And a Full HD movie mode with continuous (noisy) autofocus, you need an extern microphone, but that isn't the problem.
So, I can't wait for the sun. I wanna go out and shoot every photo subject down in the ground.
